What is Kiwanis?
Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of more
than 600,000 service- and community-minded individuals who
support children and young adults around the world. Kiwanis
members respond to the needs of their communities and pool
their resources to address worldwide issues.
How does my community service benefit
children?
Kiwanis members share a passion for helping children. The
number one objective of Kiwanis is to provide community
service and raise funds to address and promote children's
needs, in areas such as education, literacy, safety, early
development, youth leadership.
How do I benefit from Kiwanis membership?
When asked how they benefit personally and professionally
from Kiwanis, Airpark members said Kiwanis allows them to:
Give back to one's community
Associate with others who want to give back to their communities
Develop a professional network
Generate corporate goodwill
Develop new friendships
Leave a lasting impression on their communities and on future
generations.
What if I join Kiwanis and cannot
attend every meeting or service event?
With a group of working professionals, there is no mandatory
attendance. Members give as much time as their work and
personal schedules allow. In addition to attending weekly
meetings, members may volunteer to assist with the club's
service projects, which are usually held on evenings and
weekends. These projects will either address a community
need or support an established Kiwanis program.
